Recovery: Day 2

Rivers is doing really well today. Daniel stayed with her last night, and he said that she woke around 3 am when the pain block wore off. She is still on morphine and valium, but she just needs about one dose of morphine per hour. Once she wakes up from her nap, we will start encouraging her to eat in order to start taking her pain medication orally. She has been asleep since noon. She has complained some about her leg or knee hurting, but it has been pretty easy to control. They have ordered her a wheelchair, and it should be arriving soon. Hopefully she'll be feeling well enough this evening to go for a little ride around the floor. They are expecting her to be discharged tomorrow. Thank you for your continued prayers!
