Labor Day weekend always signifies the end of summer for our family, so we headed to Nanny's and Grandaddy's "Popkins" for one more dip in the pool. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and the kids enjoyed splashing and playing in the water. We thought at the beginning of the summer that we would spend a lot of time at our neighborhood pool, but after our week at the beach with my family, we felt a bit overwhelmed with two children who needed a lot of help in and out of the water. Rivers' left leg has gotten a lot stronger since the beginning of the summer. It was great to see her navigating the pool deck out of her brace just holding my finger. Jackson has gotten a lot stronger, too, since the end of June and our trip to Hilton Head. He actually stood up for the first time by pulling up on the side of the dishwasher this morning! Yeah Jackson!
We had a wonderful weekend together bidding the summer farewell! With lots to look forward to on the calendar this fall and cooler weather to come, we're ready for the next season in our life as a family!
