Snack Time

A bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios...

Uh-oh!How did they all get out of the bowl?! They make a crunching sound when you step on them!

My devilish grin (before Mommy grabs the Dust Buster!)

Down By the Creek Bank

Sunday, Rivers was in the children's musical, Down By the Creek Bank, with the children's choirs from First Baptist. I say that she was "in" it, but the preschool choir sang five songs before the musical started, and then the first song of the musical with the "big kids." Then, they came and sat with the audience for the rest of the performance. It was fun dressing her up in overalls and Jackson's plaid shirt and buying matching ribbon for her pigtails. The children all looked the part and sang beautifully! Rivers was a bit distracted by a certain little boy pulling her pigtails (Trevor!). Give it a few years, buddy, and Daddy Daniel will have a little something to say about that! In the first picture, Rivers is helping Mrs. Anne Marie ("Anne Ma-wee") direct!

Great News!

I should have put this on the blog when we found out some GREAT news a few weeks ago, but I honestly think that we were in such shock that we needed to let it sink in. Rivers' surgery from October was a SUCCESS! Her femur stayed in her hip...PRAISE GOD! We are so thankful that God lead us to Boston and that he put it in Dr. Kim's mind to go in a second time the day after her first surgery because he noticed scar tissue that could be preventing the femur from seating correctly on the CT scan. We are just so thankful in so many big ways, and in all of the little ways that God showed His faithfulness to us in this JOURNEY to heal Rivers. I put the photo above to just praise God that I have a little girl who attempted roller skating at a birthday party (with lots of help!) at three-and-a-half years old. Our God is faithful!
